Comb-clawed Beetles-Alleculidae

Comb-clawed Beetles - Alleculidae

The Alleculidae, or comb-clawed beetles, are sometimes pests, feeding on the leaves, blossoms, and fruit of a number of trees. The adult beetles have brown and black markings and are completely covered with very thin, short hairs. The common name is based on the comblike claws on the tarsi.
